Smart Pension publishes free auto enrolment e-book

The Essential Guide to Workplace Pensions is designed to help small businesses going through auto enrolment

Workplace pension provider Smart Pension has published a free e-book designed to help the record numbers of small businesses going through auto enrolment over the next 12 months.

Auto Enrolment – The Essential Guide to Workplace Pensions includes practical tips and easy checklists, expert analysis from industry experts and interviews with founders and advisers that have already been through the process.

Between now and April 2018 just under a million small firms will have to offer a workplace pension to their workforce, including those employing just one person.

Will Wynne, MD and co-founder of Smart Pension, said: "As we enter the most critical 12 months for Britain's smallest firms, we felt they needed all the help they could get to make sure they can easily comply with their new pension responsibilities.

This book is a concise yet thorough look at everything businesses need to get through in the coming months, from signing up for the Government Gateway through to Declaration of Compliance and ongoing communication responsibilities, it's all there."

"We've also included some important views from industry experts and interviews with people who have been there and done that. Hopefully, this book will make a difference to those that really don't know where to start."

The book includes expert interviews with Gary Turner, co-founder and UK MD of accounting software firm Xero, Emma Douglas, had of Defined Contribution at Legal & General and Cate Reynold from accounting software firm Sage.

There are also insights from financial advisers including Simon Wroe from SW Financial Management, from Hamilton and Andrew Hopper from Taunton-based Albert Goodman Chartered Financial Planners.

It is available to download free on Amazon, Apple and Google Play as well as Smart Pension's website.
